Some information from National Geographic : European languages did not have a word for the color orange until the fruit of the same name arrived from Asia. The word “orange” comes form the Sanskrit naranga, which means orange tree. So it is a color of fruit.
Today orange is widely used in product design, visual media, interior design and fashion. Combined with white and yellow it creates a light, fresh and casual effect. Orange combined with brown and green the palette becomes contrasting and strong.
Orange creates palettes that are enjoyable, casual, lively, tropical, sunny and delicious.
