with new technological developments, textile color palettes are created on screen using a spectrophotometer in a fraction of time using electronic color libraries, or in built color creation tools. colors can be assessed under different illuminants, trims and accessories can be matched electronically in advance, prints are true calibrated color and data is electronically archived. feedback on color feasibility can be gained much earlier without time and cost association with physical sampling, colors that do not work within the palette can be identified earlier, massive sampling for swatches and garments can be reduced, new colors can be compared to existing and historical standards and libraries can be searched to prevent duplication and reduce cost and time.
palettes can be delivered to QC and supply chain with a more exact science and better communication for approvals.
